  1. Why do you keep putting an exclamation mark at the end of Westward Ho!?
    Westward Ho! was named after Charles Kingsley's book by the same name in 1855, it's the only place in the UK like it. Unlike spellchecker, which does NOT like it.
  2. How many people does Seaglass Cottage accommodate?
    Seaglass Cottage in Westward Ho! can sleep up to four guests in two bedrooms.
  3. How many bedrooms are there at Seaglass Cottage?
    There are two bedrooms at Seaglass Cottage, these include a twin with two full size single beds and a double with 5’ bed. Both bedrooms are located on the ground floor of the cottage.
  4. How many bathrooms are at Seaglass Cottage?
    There are two bathrooms at Seaglass Cottage, the first is a family bathroom with a bath and overhead shower, the second is an en-suite to the Master Bedroom and is fitted with a shower.
  5. Does the cottage have a garden?
    Yes, the cottage has an enclosed patio. Please note this is paved and does not have a lawn area.
  6. Does the cottage have a private hot tub?
    Yes, Seaglass Cottage at Westward Ho! has a private hot tub located on the patio to the rear of the property.
  7. Does the cottage have off road car parking?
    Yes, there is off road car parking for one car.
  8. Does the cottage have WiFi?
    Yes, WiFi is provided at Seaglass Cottage.
  9. What sort of heating does the cottage have?
    Seaglass Cottage has underfloor heating throughout.
  10. What facilities are in the kitchen?
    Within the kitchen you will find an electric cooker and hob, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a fridge/freezer and a microwave.
  11. Is there a BBQ?
    Yes, a BBQ is provided.
  12. Is bed linen supplied?
    Bed linen (not cot linen) is supplied and included in the price.
  13. Are towels provided?
    Towels (not beach towels) are provided and are included in the price.
  14. What equipment is available for infants?
    A cot and a high chair can be requested free of charge when booking.
  15. Is Seaglass Cottage dog friendly?
    Seaglass Cottage, Westward Ho! is dog friendly. One dog is more than welcome at the cottage and charged at an additional £30.
  16. How far is Westward Ho! Beach?
    Westward Ho! is around a half mile walk from the cottage, this can be done either via the main road or using the footpath.
  17. How far is the nearest place to eat?
    Westward Ho! village center is just under a mile away and has several places to eat, including take away restaurants. A few favourites include Morans, Tea on the Green and the Pier House.
  18. Where is the nearest shop?
    Within the village center there is a co-op, which is about a mile away along the main road. Alternatively, there is a Tesco supermarket in Bideford, three miles away or Asda, four miles away.
  19. Can you play golf at the Royal North Devon?
    Yes, you can play a round of golf at The Royal North Devon golf course.
  20. Can you walk dogs on Northam Burrows?
    Yes, dogs can be walked on the Burrows, however, please be aware they are a Site of Special Scientific Interest and home to a rich variety of flora and fauna.
